Originally was Rattanakosin's King Rama IV's private museum before the establishment of "Museum for the People" in the Grand Palace and relocated to the 3 thrones at Bovornsathanmonkala Palace. In the reign of King Rama VII all the palace buildings were made into "Museum for the City" consisting of 3 sections-Thailand History; Thai Arts and Archeology; Fine arts and Ethonology. Some thrones are recognized as a prototype for the outstanding and elegant Thai architecture in Early Rattanakosin.
Open daily from Wednesday-Sunday at 20 Baht/Thai and 40 Baht/Foreigner. Inside photography is not allowed.
